CKC & The Crotchfelt B&B

WOW!! What a whirlwind of a weekend!!! I don't even know where to begin...I guess at the begining. I left work Friday night and picked up Beth on my way home. Got to my house, Fred was all in a tizzy becuase the air conditioner fell and there was water leaking from the bedroom above the kitchen. "It's only water baby!!" Oh did I mention that the ac was resting on a little crappy table shoved in the doorway becuase we have no windows up there that an ac would fit in. So yes, it's our ghetto fabulous air conditioning system. Love it!!
Anyway, we finally left and I spent the first hour suffering from a migraine as we drove through a ridiculous rain storm. This trip was not starting off too good. We made it though and arrived safely at Fred's parents house a little after midnight. We snuck in to find our beds made, towels out and even presents on the bed from Fred & Annette's last trip. I hereby renamed their house "The Crotchfelt B&B". No accomodations could be sweeter than this!
We crashed immediately. I barely remember changing my clothes, I was so tired. The next morning we were up bright & early. Fred's dad gave us directions although we missed something in the translation and ended up getting lost. Either way we made it there just in time for me to meet Stacey Croninger!! I was so excited! She was so cool and what a great way to start off the day!!

Next we took our Rusty Pickle class. It was not as good as I had hoped and Beth had a little freak out moment when she thought she lost her ticket to the crop. Somehow it ended up in my bag?!?! But Beth won a Rusty Pickle door prize which was pretty cool and we did pick up a few neat techniques.
On our way out of class I bumped into my friend Jen. At first I thought it was a Jen look alike becuase I had forgotten that she died her hair blonde. She looked so cute!! We hungout and chatted for a bit. After that we hit the vendor fair for some SHOPPING!!! I got some really cool stuff. I bought mostly paper (becuase you know of course I don't have nearly enough at home!) And a few odds & ends. After the Expo we went to the mall and had dinner at Bennigan's ad then back to the convention center for the crop. I have to be honest in saying the crop was pretty dissapointing. There were no garbage bags on the table, the goody bag was just a copy of a magazine and it was quite a fiasco just to get a drink. Although I did get to meet Nori from my NJScrappers yahoo group which was very cool. I would have never known it was her if she hadn't won a prize!!

And, I did complete one layout using some of my new stuff. I used some new Sceninc Route Paper, gem brads from Eyelet Outlet and finally used my Making Memories kraft paper that I had searched all over for.

The rest of the weekend was great. Fred waited up for us Satruday night. The Crotchfelt B&B was actually only 20 minutes from the convention center (since we did not get lost on the way home) Sunday morning we went to church and then Fred's parents took us out to breakfast. We hung out at the house for a bit then headed home. (Not without a stop at Rita's of course!)

Wedding Weekend

Whew what a whirlwind weekend!!! I was on Long Island by 2pm Thursday afternoon and started running as soon as I stepped foot in my parents house...doctor's appointment, manicure, pedicure, dress fitting, dinner with parents, drugstore (oops forgot a wedding card - Thank God for 24 hour Walgreen's!)
Friday was pretty much the same. I was up at 8:30 am with anxiety!! I was claiming that I will never get married because here I was all nervous and it was not even my wedding day. Although once I went around the corner to my cousins house, all was good. My uncle & aunts were in from Florida. Everyone was hanging out in their pj's having coffee & bagels. Ahhhh...nothing beats an A&S bagel !! At 12pm I was off to get my hair done which didn't happen until 1pm. Then at Michelle's by 3 to find Ms. Bride To Be cool as a cucumber! There she was hanging out in her froggy boxers and her dad's shirt like this was nothing at all!!

I must say, I definitely admire her cool, calm and collected style!!! It definitely made me calm down and the rest of the night was just a whole lotta fun!!! I saw tons of family I haven't seen in awhile, ate great food, had my very first slow dance with Fred. It was such a great time!! I can't wait til I get married!!

Then on Saturday an after party BBQ at the newlyweds house. I can't wait!! This weekend is going to be a blast!! Until Sunday, then we have to clean the house becuase the realtor is coming on Tuesday!!! Soon we will be saying Bye Bye to the tree house!! I'm sure I will have plenty of pictures to post on Monday (and scrapbook!). Have a fantastic weekend!!!

Family Time

This weekend was a great time! Fred & I went to Long Island for Michelle's rehearsal dinner. (I can't believe my little cousin is getting married in 4 days!!!) We arrived at mom's on Saturday and she had lunch ready for us. Then we went over for my fitting and the bride to be showed up. She had to pick something up from the seamstress that is altering all our dresses. After that we went back to my mom's to get ready. I was excited. I had found a really cute dress only a few days before when I was looking for shoes. Dresses never fit me right so I was looking forward to getting dressed up. In the true essence of my bargain hunter mom, I got my dress for $21, my shoes for $11 and jewelery for $9.
So we met at the church and I was relieved to find out I would be walking down the aisle with my couisn Joey. Damn he makes me laugh!! After the church we went over to a restaurant and ate our faces off. Oh the food was so good, even Chef Fred said it was great!!! It was like an all night eating event.
Sunday morning we made breakfast with mom (dad was away all weekend) and then headed home. Here are a few pictures from the rehearsal dinner.

Wild Wild New Jersey...

It all started Friday night, I was walking past the door and noticed a big furry creature on the deck. I said "Ohh Fred there's a racoo..uh..2 racoo..no 3..4..holy crap there are 6!!! A mama and 5 babies were scurrying around looking for some eats. Of course I run for the camera and Fred grabs .... a sponge mop!!! Why?? Becuase the damn things were climbing up the side of the house!! After he finally shewed them all off I got to snapping some pictures.

Sunday - we are driving around the hood. Out comes Bambi! Once again..."Fred, stop the car, I need to take a picture!".

On my way to work this morning - mama and baby trotting across the road. Once again, stop the car, grab the camera. Just as I snap they turn and walk away. I know by the end of the summer I will get my shot! For now I will settle for deer buts.

July 4th in Limerick, PA!

Once again Fred (or Freddie as he is known around those parts) and I headed to his friend's Mike & Nancy for their annual July 4th celebration. We arrived about 11pm Tuesday night to find that Mike had already started celebrating. (By "celebrating" I mean consuming large quantities of alcohol - but it's cool, he's over 21!) Mike's son Nick was nice enough to give up his bed for us. Although, I don't think he had much of a choice.
We were up pretty early the next morning. We got to the deli around 10am. Mike is a partner in Sonny's Deli. Every year for the fourth they throw a huge bash in the parking lot. Fred and I went last year and had just as much fun this year, although this year I knew everyone!
Unfortunately though it rained and we missed the fireworks. But we still had a great time and it was so nice to spend yet another holiday with my baby!!

It's been a long long time

I know it has been forever since I blogged. Don't know why, I guess not much excitement over here. Hmm...let me think back. What has happened since I last blogged. Well on June 16 we had my future sister in law's bridal shower. It went off without a hitch. Thanks to Jill's friend Dawn, Jill was even surprised. It was a really nice day and I was excited to see all my cousins...in NJ!!!

The bride cuts the cake...

Mom and her girls...

The bridal party...

On Father's Day we went to Long Island for a BBQ at my parents house. Fred's parents met us there which was so cool!!! I was greatful they made the trip. I know they sat in tons of traffice but it meant everything to me to have them there. They fit right in of course, everyone in my family loved them. I am so happy to have found someone from a similar family structure.

The weekend after that we were back on Long Island. We went Friday after work. Friday night we went to Bill's bar and Fred finally got to meet Bill & Brian. I couldn't believe how excited & surprised Bill was to see me. It was so awesome!!
And of course we got to hangout with my beloved Cookie. This is a pic of me & her from my going away party back in November. I <3 her very much!!

The rest of the weekend we spent with my parents and then on sunday had Rosie's graduation party. This is Rosie & my mom when we went took her and my other little cousin Jen to see Mary Poppins.

This past weekend was a bit of a lazy one. I was supposed to go to Atlantic City for my cousin Michelle's bachelorette party but every possible way I had arranged to get there fell through. Which was also totally lame becuase I missed Cristina's shower too. I had actually been looking forward to both those things and went to neither.

Mish is the one in the middle in the black shirt...(Jason on the left, Nikki & Rosie on the right)

This is a pic Cris sent me from her shower...she is so cute & pregnant!! I miss her!!

So our weekend was pretty much spent bumming around. When I got home on Friday this was waiting for me...

Gotta love that! Saturday we went Straberry picking which was so cool! Who knew they grew on little plants in the ground? Umm..yeah I knew that! We spent some QT with all our kids. Fred get's very excited when he gets attention from the cats, hence this kool-aid grin becuase 2 out of the four where chillin with him at the same time...

Fred pulled out the treats and they all came running...

Except Bailey...he sat by the door watching.

All in all things have been pretty quiet. I did finish up a layout on Saturday night. I haven't snapped it yet but promise to post that later in the week. Hope everyone has a Happy 4th!!
